2016 will bring many festive events to the city of Philadelphia. From the arts and sciences to sports and cinema, Philadelphia will host a variety of events to help ring in the New Year. Read below to find out NRIA’s list of the best events happening this holiday season.

1. LEGO CASTLE ADVENTURE EXHIBIT
(Dec 24, 2015 – Jan 17, 2016)
Builders of all ages are encouraged to visit the Mercer Castle for the exciting opportunity to construct their very own LEGO® castle! Visitors will enter a the LEGO® Kingdom where they can explore a giant castle with secret passageways, climb into a lookout tower, build a virtual fortress, joust on play horses and more!

2. SPORTSZONE
(Dec 24, 2015 – May 20, 2016)
At SportsZone science helps you go the extra mile! SportsZone is a new exhibition that examines how sport connects the science of the human body, the laws of motion and technical innovation. Learn about fitness, diet, equipment, and safety as you prepare to play. Then, test your skills at pitching, jumping, surfing and more!

3. 1960S POP CULTURE: MOVIES, MEMORABILIA AND THE MEDIA: THE STEVE AND MICHELL FRIEDMAN COLLECTION
(Dec 24, 2015 – Feb 29, 2016)
CCHS aims to enlighten, enthuse, and foster identity amongst visitors who experience its unique cultural exhibitions. Initiated by community interest, this installation will use original objects, photos, documents and oral histories to stimulate visitors.
